Dear Parents,
Each student has taken a 72 question test to help them determine their personality profile. Not everyone in the class was able to do this and if your child chooses, he/she may opt out. This is a full school year project that will involve parent help. If you are unable to help then please let me know. Every Friday, students will be working on this project from 12-12:30 pm. If a parent would like to volunteer during this time feel free to.
Week 1- Students will discuss with their parents 5 different careers they may be interested in from the lists provided (please feel free to do more research on your child's personality profile and find a career they may be more interested in.) A student may feel they already know what they would like to be when they grow up. If that career is not on their list then have them look up what personality matches that career the most. Personalities change, especially from such a young age. It may be that your child is more of an introvert and they need to work on becoming a little more of an extrovert to help them succeed in this position. Talk to them about it. If they choose to still do research on that career then they need to write me a letter or email explaining why and how they might succeed (next steps). Just because a student explorers a career option does not mean that is what they will become when they grow up. I am looking for them to expand their knowledge on what is available.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas on this project.
Thank you,
Ms. Aaliyah
